Just to let you guys know, Mystic Empyrean is now available for preorder! I've been working with Brad (~Kiyoshi-Kyokai) on this project for the past year, and am very excited to see the final product myself.
Mystic Empyrean is a unique Role Playing Game that focuses on world creation, social character development, and storytelling. You play as Eidolons, who are immortal beings of power, creation, and nature. One of the most fascinating things about Eidolons is that their personalities and actions manifest as physical traits and abilities. In other words, your powers are determined by the way you role-play your character, and you can develop different abilities and traits accordingly. Players can also build their own game worlds, and even have access to optional game systems such as summoning, crafting, geomancy, and alchemy so you can tailor the game experience to your preferences.
Please see the Kickstarter page for more information on the game as well as access to the game preview. If you're a tabletop RPer, make sure you check this one out!
Thank You
I would also like to thank everyone who has visited, viewed, commented, liked, saved, or +faved my art, or just been overall supportive and nice to me in general. I know there are a lot of comments I don't reply to - I'm not very good with words or people, and I never really know how to respond to compliments. But please know that I am ever-appreciative of the support. So really, thank you!
I know that as an artist, I still have a long long way to go. In the last year, especially, working on Mystic Empyrean, I have learned a lot about my limitations and shortcomings as an artist. I'm at the point where I really just want to branch out, experiment, and make some personal break-throughs. And for the first time in a long time, now that I'm no longer taking commissions, I am in a position to freely do so. From here on, I will continue to work hard, and perhaps someday I will actually feel deserving of all the praises and compliments I receive.
Regarding Commissions
Some people have inquired about commissions, and I'm sorry if I haven't gotten back to you after saying I would! The truth is, I am not and currently don't plan on take any more commissions, at least until further notice. I'm entering my final year in university, and I have SO much work that I really doubt I'll have the time or energy to expend on paid commission work. And whatever free art time I do have will be spent on personal art and self-improvement. I really am sorry about this! Regardless, thank you so much for considering.
I have received several requests for tutorials, and while I do not have plans to make a full-out one any time in the foreseeable future (nor would I be comfortable doing so when my own knowledge is so limited), I have recorded my painting process for those who are interested in seeing how I work.
That is all!
Best regards,
Katrina
